Exhibition of work from ARTS 235 and ARTH 266

Tue, January 2, 2024 - Fri, February 2, 2024 • Boliou East Gallery

Students enrolled in this dyad of classes learned about the history and aesthetics of Japanese tea ceremony, as well as practicing handbuilding and wheel throwing techniques used by Japanese potters to make vessels associated with the production and consumption of tea. Special attention was paid to the use of local materials from Carleton's Arboretum, as well as wood-firing and traditional raku processes.

Join us for a reception on January 12 at 4:30pm in the Boliou Gallery.
